Betavert OD 24 Tablet is used to manage the symptoms of Ménière's syndrome and other inner-ear disorders, including vertigo (dizziness), tinnitus (ringing in the ears), hearing disturbances, and nausea. The controlled release formulation provides sustained symptom control throughout the day.
It contains betahistine 24mg, a histamine analogue that improves microcirculation in the inner ear and helps regulate fluid pressure in the labyrinth. This reduces the frequency and severity of vertigo episodes and the associated discomfort of ear-related balance problems.
Take the tablet daily with food to reduce stomach discomfort. Benefits build gradually with regular use, so continue the prescribed course even if improvement is gradual in the early weeks.
Indigestion, headache, and mild nausea are the most commonly reported effects and usually improve with continued use. Tell your doctor about any history of asthma, stomach ulcers, or pheochromocytoma before starting.
