Ketotag 1mg Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Prevention of bronchial asthma attacks

• Management of allergic rhinitis

• Relief from pollen-induced allergic symptoms

• Treatment of dust-related allergic conditions

• Control of hypersensitivity reactions

• Prevention of inflammation in the lungs

• Reduction of histamine-related allergic responses

• Long-term management of recurrent asthma

• Blocking allergic mediator release in sensitive individuals

Follow these instructions while taking Ketotag 1mg Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

Ketotag 1mg Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Ketotag 1mg Tablet 10 contains ketotifen (1 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Histamine Blocking: Ketotifen prevents histamine, a substance in your body that causes allergic symptoms, from attaching to cells and triggering allergic reactions.

• Prevention of Inflammatory Mediator Release: It stops the release of various substances from cells called mast cells that would otherwise cause inflammation in your lungs and airways.

• Anti-inflammatory Action: By reducing the inflammatory response in your respiratory system, ketotifen helps decrease the swelling and irritation that make breathing difficult during asthma attacks.

• Stabilisation of Mast Cells: Ketotifen works by stabilising special cells in your body (mast cells) that, when triggered by allergens, would normally release chemicals causing allergic symptoms.

• Store at room temperature (not exceeding 30°C).

• Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

• Store in a safe place out of reach of children.

• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• If you have allergic rhinitis or asthma, minimise contact with known triggers such as dust, pollen, and pet dander by keeping your living space clean and using air purifiers.

• Drinking plenty of water can help thin mucus secretions in your airways, making it easier to breathe when you have asthma or allergic conditions.
