CompositionVertistar-MD 24 Tablet is used to manage Meniere's disease, a disorder of the inner ear that affects balance and hearing. It belongs to a class of medicines known as histamine analogues and helps control vertigo, ringing in the ears and hearing disturbances linked to this condition.
The tablet acts on the inner ear to reduce the frequency and severity of Meniere's disease symptoms. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Continue the treatment for the duration advised, even if your symptoms improve, as stopping early may cause symptoms to return.
Reducing salt intake can help lower fluid build-up in the inner ear, which may ease Meniere's disease symptoms. Limiting caffeine and alcohol, managing stress, and getting adequate rest can also help reduce the frequency of vertigo episodes.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, asthma, or a rare adrenal gland tumour called phaeochromocytoma. Inform your doctor if you experience persistent nausea, stomach pain or worsening dizziness. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if advised by your doctor.
