Unisorlen 25mg Tablet 10

Unisorlen 25mg Tablet is used to manage vitiligo and psoriasis in addition to UV light.

Take Unisorlen 25mg Tablet in the following way:

• Swallow the entire tablet with a glass of water
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Take it with or without food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

Unisorlen 25mg Tablet is taken orally. 

Unisorlen 25mg Tablet contains the following components:

• Trioxsalen (25 mg): Trioxsalen is a photosensitising agent used to treat vitiligo in combination with ultraviolet (UV) light. Similar to other psoralens, it enhances skin sensitivity to UV light. It is applied topically or taken orally alongside UV-A light (the least harmful UV type) for phototherapy, commonly for vitiligo and hand eczema. Once activated by UV light, it binds to DNA, forming interstrand crosslinks that lead to cell apoptosis. In research, trioxsalen can be conjugated with dyes for confocal microscopy, enabling the visualisation of DNA damage sites.

• Unisorlen 25mg Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Include fruits and vegetables, such as cherries and leafy greens, in your diet. Incorporate omega-3-rich fish like salmon and sardines. 
• Add antioxidant-packed herbs and spices, including thyme, sage, cumin, and ginger. 
• Avoid alcohol and smoking, and maintain a balanced diet and regular exercise.
• Steer clear of blueberries, citrus, coffee, curds, fruit juice, and gooseberries. 
• Opt for loose-fitting clothing, such as boxers or boy shorts, as tight clothing can irritate sensitive skin. 
• Choose natural fabrics like cotton or silk, which are gentler on the skin compared to synthetic materials.
