Usibon-300 Tablet is used to dissolve cholesterol-rich gallstones in the gallbladder for patients who are not suitable candidates for surgery. It is also effective in managing primary biliary cirrhosis, a condition that gradually damages the bile ducts in the liver. Additionally, it helps prevent the formation of gallstones in obese patients who are undergoing rapid weight loss.

Here's how you should take Usibon-300 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Don't crush or chew it.

• Stick to the dose recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than advised.

• If you're considering stopping this medicine, consult your doctor first. They will guide you on how to safely stop taking it.

Usibon-300 Tablet is taken orally.

Usibon-300 Tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (300 mg). It works on the body in the following ways:

• Reduces Cholesterol Absorption and Production: Ursodeoxycholic Acid decreases the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine and the production of cholesterol in the liver.

• Increases Cholesterol Solubility: By increasing the solubility of cholesterol in bile, it allows cholesterol to be dissolved and eliminated more easily.

• Protects the Liver: In cases of primary biliary cirrhosis, Ursodeoxycholic Acid replaces the toxic bile acids that accumulate in the liver and cause damage to liver cells, thereby offering protection to the liver.

• Keep Usibon-300 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20-25°C.

• Avoid exposure to direct light and moisture.

• Make sure the medicine is out of reach of children.

• Always remember to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you're taking Usibon-300 Tablet for gallstones, consider a low-fat diet. Less fat means less work for your gallbladder.
