Uriease 40 Tablet is a medicine used to manage gout in adults by lowering high levels of uric acid in the blood. Keeping uric acid levels low helps prevent joint pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with gout attacks, while also protecting joints from long-term damage.
It is intended for long-term daily use to keep uric acid controlled. It is not meant to relieve sudden, acute gout pain. When you first start this medicine, gout attacks may briefly occur more frequently as uric acid deposits adjust. Your doctor may prescribe an additional pain reliever during the initial period to manage this. Take the tablet exactly as directed.
Alongside this medicine, healthy habits can support your gout treatment. These include staying well hydrated, maintaining a healthy body weight, limiting alcohol consumption (especially beer), and reducing purine-rich foods like red meat and shellfish in your daily diet.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart problems, liver or kidney disease, or other medicines you are using. Contact your doctor promptly if you notice a skin rash or signs of allergic reaction, as serious skin responses can occasionally happen.
