Torsiba 20 MG Tablet 10 is used to treat fluid retention (oedema) caused by heart failure, kidney disease and liver cirrhosis, and to lower high blood pressure. By helping the kidneys remove excess water and salt, it reduces swelling in the legs, arms and abdomen and eases the workload on the heart.
It contains torsemide, a loop diuretic ("water tablet"). It is usually taken earlier in the day to avoid needing to pass urine overnight.
Following any advice on salt and fluids, weighing yourself regularly if asked to, and standing up slowly support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney problems, gout or low potassium before starting, and about other medicines you take. Regular blood tests check your kidneys and minerals. Report marked dizziness, muscle cramps, an irregular heartbeat, or passing much less urine.
