NEPHTOR 20 TABLET 10 is used to treat fluid retention (oedema) caused by heart failure, kidney disease or liver cirrhosis, and to lower high blood pressure, helping to reduce swelling in the legs, arms and abdomen and ease the workload on the heart.

Uses of NEPHTOR 20 TABLET 10 are:

• Fluid Retention: Helps remove excess fluid in heart, kidney and liver conditions.

• Swelling: Helps reduce swelling in the legs, arms and abdomen.

• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control blood pressure.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking, crushing, or chewing the tablet.

• Always follow the dosage as prescribed by your doctor.

NEPHTOR 20 TABLET 10 contains only one active ingredient: Torsemide (20 mg). Here's how it works in your body:

• Inhibits Sodium and Chloride Reabsorption: Torsemide acts on a part of your kidneys known as the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle. It blocks the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in this segment, which leads to increased urine production.

• Promotes Diuresis: The blocking of sodium and chloride reabsorption causes diuresis, which means more urine is produced. This helps your body get rid of excess fluid that causes oedema.

• Lowers Blood Pressure: By getting rid of the excess fluid, torsemide also helps lower blood pressure.

• Promotes Excretion of Minerals: Apart from sodium and chloride, torsemide also promotes the excretion of potassium, calcium, and magnesium from your body.

• Store it at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.
