Torsechem 40 Tablet 10

Torsechem-40 Tablet is primarily used for:

• Edema or fluid overload linked with heart failure
• Fluid retention due to kidney disease
• Swelling associated with liver cirrhosis
• Managing high blood pressure, either solely or alongside other medications

• Swallow the tablet as a whole, using a glass of water.
• Avoid breaking, crushing, or chewing the tablet.
• The medicine can be taken with or without food.
• You should not stop taking this medicine abruptly. Always consult your doctor before deciding to discontinue.

Torsechem-40 Tablet is taken orally. 

Torsechem-40 Tablet contains the following component:

• Torsemide (40 mg): Torsemide targets a specific area in your kidneys known as the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle. By inhibiting a particular cotransporter responsible for sodium, potassium and chloride reabsorption in the kidneys, torsemide promotes the excretion of these electrolytes and water into the urine. The increased excretion helps in relieving fluid overload and oedema. The diuretic effect of torsemide also aids in reducing high blood pressure.

The storage instructions for Torsechem-40 Tablet are as follows:

• Torsechem-40 Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Consider reducing your salt intake if you're taking Torsechem-40 Tablet to manage high blood pressure. Too much salt can make it harder for your medicine to control your blood pressure.
• For those using this medication to manage edema due to heart failure, renal disease or liver disease, a low-sodium diet might be beneficial. High sodium levels can cause your body to retain water, worsening your condition.
