Tofe ER Tablet is a medicine used to manage moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ulcerative colitis in adults when other treatments have not provided sufficient relief. It helps reduce joint pain, stiffness, swelling, and bowel inflammation, improving daily mobility and quality of life.
It contains tofacitinib, an immunosuppressive agent. Take this extended-release tablet as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole without crushing or chewing it. Continue taking it regularly as directed, and do not stop taking it suddenly without medical advice, as your symptoms may worsen.
Balanced nutrition and low-impact exercise can help manage joint and inflammatory conditions. Eat a nutrient-rich diet, maintain a healthy weight, and follow a gentle exercise program like walking or stretching as recommended by your physical therapist or doctor.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of serious infections, tuberculosis, liver or kidney disease, or blood clot problems. Your doctor may perform routine blood tests and infection screenings before and during treatment. Inform your doctor if you develop fever, persistent cough, or signs of an infection.
