THYROCAB 10MG TABLET 100 is used for the following:

• Managing Graves' disease

• Treating toxic multinodular goiter

• Preparation before thyroid gland surgery

• Reducing excessive thyroid hormone production

• Managing hyperthyroidism

• Controlling symptoms of overactive thyroid

• Stabilising thyroid function

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly for the duration prescribed by your doctor.

THYROCAB 10MG TABLET 100 contains carbimazole (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibition of thyroid hormone synthesis: Carbimazole blocks the incorporation of iodine into tyrosine residues of thyroglobulin, which is a crucial step in the production of thyroid hormones.

• Reduction of hormone levels: By preventing the formation of thyroid hormones, it effectively decreases the levels of thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) circulating in your bloodstream.

• Symptom relief: As thyroid hormone levels normalise, symptoms of hyperthyroidism such as rapid heartbeat, tremors, and anxiety gradually improve.
