Texifen Spray 55gm

Texifen Spray is used in the following conditions:

• Management of Tinea pedis, more commonly known as athlete's foot
• Addressing Tinea cruris, or jock itch
• Use in cases of Tinea corporis, also known as ringworm
• Assisting in the control of Pityriasis versicolor, a fungal infection causing skin discolouration

• Clean the affected area and dry it thoroughly, especially between the toes.
• Spray it over the affected areas.
• Place the cap tightly after use.
• Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the spray.
• Avoid getting the spray in your mouth or eyes.

Texifen Spray is applied topically to the affected area.

Texifen Spray contains the following component:

• Terbinafine (1 %): Terbinafine, the active ingredient, blocks an enzyme called squalene epoxidase in fungal cells, which is necessary for producing ergosterol, a key part of the fungal cell membrane. By inhibiting ergosterol production, terbinafine weakens the cell membrane, causing the fungal cells to lose functionality and eventually die.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep Texifen Spray away from children.

• Wash your hands and body regularly with mild soap and water to keep the skin clean and prevent spreading infections.
• Choose natural, breathable fabrics like cotton to allow air circulation and reduce moisture buildup on the skin.
• Moisture can promote fungal growth. Ensure that affected areas are kept dry, especially in skin folds or areas prone to sweating.
• After exercising or sweating, change into dry clothing to prevent fungal infections.
• Do not share towels, razors, or personal items that come into contact with your skin to minimise the risk of spreading or acquiring infections.
