Telrose Tablet is used for managing high blood pressure in individuals who also have high cholesterol levels. It is prescribed for reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes in adults over 55 years of age who are at a high risk of developing cardiovascular disease.

To ensure you use Telrose Tablet correctly, please follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take it with or without food.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• It's crucial to not take more than what your doctor has advised.

• Never stop using this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Telrose Tablet is taken orally.

Telrose Tablet combines two active ingredients:

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This component belongs to a group of medicines known as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors. It works by blocking an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase which is essential for the body to produce cholesterol. By doing so, rosuvastatin effectively decreases levels of total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol (bad cholesterol), and other harmful fatty substances in the blood while increasing HDL-C (good cholesterol).

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This ingredient falls under angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It functions by blocking the binding of angiotensin II, a substance that narrows blood vessels and releases hormones that can raise your blood pressure. By preventing these actions, telmisartan helps relax and widen your blood vessels leading to a decrease in blood pressure.

The combined effect of rosuvastatin and telmisartan provides enhanced reduction of cardiovascular risk factors compared to either component alone.
