CompositionTelcure Beta 25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke, particularly in adults aged 55 years and above who cannot tolerate ACE inhibitor medicines.
It is a combination medicine containing telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and metoprolol, a beta-blocker. Take it as prescribed, with or without food. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, and do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a sudden rise in blood pressure or heart rate.
Healthy lifestyle changes support blood pressure control alongside this medicine. These include reducing salt intake, regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol as advised by your doctor.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any existing heart conditions, asthma, or diabetes, as beta-blockers need caution in these conditions. Inform your doctor of any other medicines you take, and report any unusual dizziness, a very slow heart rate, or fainting.
