Sumoflam Tablet is a combination pain-relieving medicine used to treat and reduce moderate to severe pain, tissue swelling, and localised bone or joint inflammation. It is commonly prescribed for muscle strains, accidental sprains, dental discomfort, post-operative surgical pain, and acute arthritis flare-ups.
It contains three active ingredients: nimesulide, paracetamol, and serratiopeptidase. Nimesulide and paracetamol function as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that block chemical messengers responsible for triggering pain and fever, while serratiopeptidase is a metabolic enzyme that breaks down abnormal proteins at injury sites to speed up swelling resolution. It must be taken after food.
To support your structural healing, combine this medication with adequate bed rest and avoid putting heavy weight or strenuous stress on the affected muscles or joints. Applying localised cold packs during early injury hours can also assist in decreasing deep tissue swelling naturally.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, active bleeding disorders, severe liver or kidney disease, or asthma. Let them know if you are taking any blood-thinning pills. This medicine is strictly not recommended for pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers.
