Stiloz-100 Mg Tablet is used to manage intermittent claudication, a condition that causes leg pain while walking due to reduced blood flow. It helps improve circulation, increase walking distance and reduce cramping and discomfort in the legs.
It contains cilostazol, a medicine that widens blood vessels and reduces platelet clumping. Take it on an empty stomach, at least half an hour before or two hours after meals, as prescribed. Continue taking it regularly as prescribed, even if you notice gradual improvement in your walking distance.
Regular walking exercise, as advised by your doctor, along with quitting smoking, can significantly improve blood flow to the legs. Managing other cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes is also important for this condition.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any heart conditions, particularly heart failure, or are taking blood-thinning medicines, as this medicine may not be suitable for you. Contact your doctor if you notice palpitations, unusual bruising, or bleeding while taking this medicine.
