CompositionSPASMED PD 10/250mg Tablet is used to relieve muscle spasms, cramping and pain associated with abdominal discomfort, menstrual cramps and colicky pain. It combines dicyclomine, an antispasmodic, with paracetamol, a painkiller.
Dicyclomine relaxes the muscles of the gut wall, easing cramping and spasm, while paracetamol adds further pain relief, together reducing spasm-related pain and the discomfort of colicky conditions.
Take this tablet as your doctor prescribes, generally before or with meals, and use it for the shortest time needed to control your symptoms.
Tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, or a bowel blockage, as the antispasmodic component needs caution in these conditions. Avoid exceeding the prescribed dose, since paracetamol overdose can seriously damage the liver, and this medicine can cause blurred vision and sensitivity to light, so take care while driving.
