Nefro Act Tablet 10

Nefro ACT Tablet is used to protect and improve kidney function in patients with CKD. It also helps manage conditions with excessive mucus production, such as bronchitis.

Follow these instructions while taking Nefro ACT Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Take this medicine preferably after meals.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Nefro ACT Tablet is taken orally.

Nefro ACT Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• N-Acetylcysteine (150 mg): This component acts as a potent antioxidant, scavenging harmful substances known as reactive oxygen species and shielding cells from oxidative stress. Additionally, it breaks down bonds in mucus, making it less sticky and easier to expel from your body, hence acting as a mucolytic agent.

• Taurine (500 mg): This is a conditionally essential amino acid with multiple roles in the body. Like N-Acetylcysteine, it acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from oxidative damage. Taurine also helps maintain the balance of water and minerals in your cells and modulates the activity of ion channels, including calcium, sodium, and potassium channels. It offers protective effects on the cardiovascular system and may improve insulin sensitivity in diabetic patients.

• Store your Nefro ACT Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature is below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Ensure that this medicine is kept out of reach of children for safety purposes.

• Always check the expiry date on the pack and make sure to use it before the specified date.

• Since Nefro ACT Tablet is prescribed for managing chronic kidney disease (CKD), you should adopt a kidney-friendly diet. Limit your intake of sodium, potassium, and phosphorus to help protect your kidneys.

• Regular physical activity can also be beneficial. Moderate exercise can help control blood pressure levels, which is crucial for people with CKD. However, always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.
