Setride Plus Tablet is used for the following:

• Providing relief from allergic rhinitis, commonly known as hay fever

• Managing chronic urticaria, a condition characterised by persistent hives

• Alleviating symptoms of other allergic skin conditions

When taking Setride Plus Tablet, remember these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• The tablet can be consumed with or without meals.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Always stick to the dosage recommended by your doctor.

• Avoid stopping this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Setride Plus Tablet is taken orally.

Setride Plus Tablet contains a single active ingredient, cetirizine (10 mg). Here's how it works:

• Histamine H1 Receptor Antagonism: Cetirizine is a potent and selective antagonist of histamine H1 receptors. This means it blocks these receptors, reducing the effects of histamine that are triggered by allergen exposure.

• Reduction of Allergic Symptoms: By blocking the histamine H1 receptors, cetirizine inhibits the action of histamine. Histamine is responsible for symptoms like itching, sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes. When cetirizine prevents histamine from binding to its receptors, these symptoms are reduced, providing relief from allergic conditions.

• Store Setride Plus Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

• Always ensure your medicine is out of reach from children.

• Make sure to use your tablet before the expiry date mentioned on the pack.

• If you're managing allergies with Setride Plus Tablet, it's beneficial to maintain a low histamine diet. This includes avoiding fermented foods and drinks, aged cheese, smoked meat products, shellfish and alcohol as these can trigger allergic symptoms.

• Regular exercise can help boost your immunity and reduce the severity of allergic reactions. However, if outdoor activities trigger your allergies, consider indoor exercises such as yoga or a home workout routine. Always consult your doctor for personalised advice.
