Septran Tablet 10

Septran Tablet is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, and skin infections. It is also effective in treating Pneumocystis pneumonia and is commonly used in individuals with weakened immune systems to prevent and manage serious infections.

• Take the tablet with a glass of water.
• Swallow the whole tablet, do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Take it in the dosage suggested by your doctor. 
• It can be taken with or without food. 
• Take it at fixed time intervals to improve efficacy.

Septran Tablet is taken orally. 

Septran Tablet 10 composition contains Sulfamethoxazole (400 Mg) + Trimethoprim (80 Mg) as its active ingredients.

• Sulfamethoxazole (400 mg): It prevents bacteria from making something called "dihydrofolic acid," which is another important ingredient for building proteins and DNA in bacteria. When bacteria can't make dihydrofolic acid because of sulfamethoxazole, they struggle to grow and survive. So, Sulfamethoxazole helps to treat bacterial infections.
• Trimethoprim (80 mg): It stops bacteria from making tetrahydrofolic acid, a key ingredient for building proteins and DNA that bacteria need to survive and grow. When Trimethoprim is around, bacteria can't make this key ingredient, making it hard for them to grow and survive. This is how it helps to treat bacterial infections.

• Store Septran Tablet at a temperature below 25 ºC.
• Protect the medicine from heat and light.
• Keep the tablet away from the reach of children.
• Do not use the tablet after the expiry date has passed.

• Septran Tablet is typically recommended to be taken with a meal or a snack to help reduce the risk of stomach upset. Follow the instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist.
• Drink an adequate amount of water throughout the day. This helps maintain proper hydration and supports kidney function.
• Maintain a well-rounded and nutritious diet to support overall health. Include a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats in your meals.
• Septran Tablet can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing if you're spending time outdoors to reduce the risk of sunburn.
