Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup is used to treat infectious diarrhea, dysentery, and parasitic infections like giardiasis. It is also effective against certain intestinal and liver infections such as amoebic liver abscess when prescribed by a doctor. Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup has two active ingredients:

• Ofloxacin (50 mg): As a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, ofloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase, an enzyme required for bacterial DNA replication. By doing so, it prevents the bacteria from multiplying and hence curbs the infection.
