It acts against parasites such as amoebas and giardia by disrupting their DNA structure and inhibiting their growth. This helps to treat protozoal infections that can cause diarrhoea and other gastrointestinal issues.
- Ofloxacin (200 mg): It is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits the bacterial enzyme DNA gyrase. This enzyme is essential for DNA replication and repair. By interfering with this process, ofloxacin disrupts bacterial DNA synthesis and inhibits bacterial growth. This makes it effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria.

Pregnancy
Pregnant women should cautiously take Satrogyl-O Tablet. It should only be taken if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus. Inform your doctor while this tablet is prescribed to you during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding

- Antigout medications such as probenecid. Using probenecid together with this tablet can impact the elimination of these medicines through the kidneys.
- Bronchodilators such as theophylline. The concomitant use can increase the levels of theophylline in blood.
- Anticoagulants such as warfarin. The concomitant use can enhance the effects of warfarin.
- Antiarrhythmics such as quinidine and disopyramide. This tablet should be avoided in patients using these heart medications.
- Medicines or dietary supplements containing iron or zinc. It can affect the absorption of this tablet.
- Medicines for stomach ulcers such as sucralfate. It can affect the absorption of this tablet.
- Antacids containing magnesium or aluminium. These can affect the absorption of this tablet.
- Corticosteroids such as prednisone. The concomitant use of corticosteroids may increase the risk of swelling of the tendons with pain, and tenderness.
- Anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or diclofenac. The concomitant use can make you more prone to fits.

Satrogyl-O Tablet can interact with diseases, including:
- History of seizures: This tablet should be cautiously used in patients with a history of seizures and epilepsy.
- Liver impairment: The excretion of this tablet may be reduced in patients with severe liver impairment.
- Kidney impairment: This tablet is excreted by the kidney. Therefore, a dose adjustment may be required in patients with kidney impairment.
- Tendonitis: This tablet may increase the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture.
