Rosloy Asp 20/75 Capsule 15 works through the combined action of its two active ingredients:

• Aspirin (75 mg): Aspirin belongs to a group of medicines known as NSAIDs with strong anti-platelet properties. At a lower dose of 75 mg, it inhibits the aggregation of platelets, which are small blood cells that help in blood clotting. It does so by blocking an enzyme called cyclooxygenase (COX), preventing the formation of a substance called thromboxane A2. Thromboxane A2 normally encourages platelets to clump together and form blood clots, so its inhibition reduces the risk of clot formation and consequent heart attacks and strokes.
• Rosuvastatin (20 mg): Rosuvastatin is a synthetic lipid-lowering agent that falls under the class of medicines called statins. It works by inhibiting an enzyme in your liver called HMG-CoA reductase, which is involved in cholesterol production. By reducing this enzyme's activity, rosuvastatin decreases the amount of cholesterol produced by the body.
