• Aspirin (75 mg): Aspirin belongs to a group of medicines known as NSAIDs with strong anti-platelet properties. At a lower dose of 75 mg, it inhibits the aggregation of platelets, which are small blood cells that help in blood clotting. It does so by blocking an enzyme called cyclooxygenase (COX), preventing the formation of a substance called thromboxane A2.
