Rabalkem-LS Capsule is used for the following:

• Managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach, causing heartburn.
• Alleviating symptoms of peptic ulcer disease which includes painful sores or ulcers in the lining of your stomach or the first part of your small intestine called duodenum.
• Helping to manage functional dyspepsia, a chronic disorder of sensation and movement in the upper digestive tract.
• Controlling Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a rare condition characterised by one or more tumours in your pancreas or duodenum leading to overproduction of stomach acid.
• Assisting in managing diabetic gastroparesis, a condition where your stomach takes too long to empty its contents because of damage to the vagus nerve by high blood glucose levels.

To take Rabalkem-LS Capsule correctly, follow these steps:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.
• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.
• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.
• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Rabalkem-LS Capsule is taken orally.

Rabalkem-LS Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Levosulpiride (75 mg): This ingredient acts on your body's gastrointestinal tract by enhancing its tone and motility. Basically, it boosts the movement of food through your stomach and intestines. This helps in reducing symptoms like nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Levosulpiride also prevents vomiting, making it beneficial in managing symptoms of functional dyspepsia and diabetic gastroparesis.
• Rabeprazole (20 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, rabeprazole works by permanently blocking a system in your stomach's gastric parietal cells known as the hydrogen/potassium adenosine triphosphatase enzyme system (or simply 'proton pump'). By doing so, it inhibits the secretion of gastric acid in your stomach. This action aids in managing acid-related disorders like GERD and peptic ulcers, promoting healing and providing symptom relief.
