Quicnac AB Tablet is used in adults with long-term chest conditions to improve airflow and clear mucus, helping to ease wheezing, cough and breathlessness.

Quicnac AB Tablet contains two active components which work in unison to alleviate respiratory symptoms:

• Acebrophylline (100 mg): This ingredient is a bronchodilator with anti-inflammatory properties. By inhibiting certain enzymes in your body called phosphodiesterase, acebrophylline helps increase the levels of a substance called cyclic AMP. This ultimately results in the relaxation of muscles around your airways, expanding them and making it easier for you to breathe. Moreover, it reduces inflammation and improves mucus transport out of your lungs.

• Acetylcysteine (600 mg): Known as a mucolytic agent, acetylcysteine works by breaking down mucus in your airways and making it less sticky. It does this by acting on certain bonds within the mucus proteins. This makes mucus thinner and easier to expel from your lungs. Acetylcysteine also has antioxidant properties which help protect your lungs from damaging substances called free radicals.
