Oxydex Tablet is used in adults with COPD for combined bronchodilator and mucolytic symptom management to improve airflow and ease mucus clearance.

• COPD: Relaxes airway smooth muscle to reduce bronchospasm and improve breathing.
• Mucus Management: Reduces mucus thickness to make it easier to cough up mucus.

Oxydex Tablet is taken orally.

Oxydex Tablet is composed of two active ingredients:

• Acebrophylline (100 mg): This component functions as a phosphodiesterase inhibitor. This means that it helps increase levels of a substance called cyclic AMP in cells that line your airways. This process relaxes these cells, resulting in the widening of the airways, a process known as bronchodilation. Additionally, acebrophylline has anti-inflammatory effects that work by reducing the release of certain substances that cause inflammation.
• Acetylcysteine (600 mg): Classified as a mucolytic agent, acetylcysteine works by breaking down bonds in mucus proteins. This action reduces the thickness of mucus and makes it easier to cough up. Acetylcysteine also acts as an antioxidant, helping protect your lungs from harmful substances known as oxidative stress.

• Keep the Oxydex Tablet in a dry place, protected from light and moisture.
• Store it at room temperature.
• Don't store it in the bathroom or near a window where it may be exposed to damp conditions.
• Make sure it is out of reach of children.
• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you smoke, consider quitting. Smoking can make your chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) worse, making Oxydex Tablet less effective.
