Puc Oral Drops 15ml

Puc Oral Drops are used for relieving fever and managing mild to moderate pain in children. This suspension contains Paracetamol, which helps in managing conditions like headache, toothache, body ache and the common cold. The suspension form makes it easier for children to take and absorb. It is usually well-tolerated when used as directed by a healthcare provider.

• Paracetamol (Acetaminophen): This is the main active ingredient that helps in blocking certain chemical messengers in the brain responsible for pain and fever. It may assist in lowering body temperature and relieving various types of aches. It is considered safe when used within the recommended dose range. Paracetamol is widely used in paediatrics for managing pain and fever. It also has an onset of action typically within 30 minutes.

• For children weighing 4 to 6 kg (approximately 11–15 pounds) and aged 3 to 5 months, the recommended dose is 0.5 ml.
• For those weighing 7 to 9 kg (16–21 pounds) and aged 6 to 11 months, the dose is 1 ml.
• Children weighing 10 to 12 kg (22–26 pounds) and aged 1 to 2 years should be given 1.5 ml.
• For those weighing 13 to 15 kg (27–33 pounds) and aged 2 to 3 years, the appropriate dose is 2 ml.
• Children in the 16 to 21 kg (34–46 pounds) range and aged 3 to 5 years may be given 2.5 to 3 ml.
• For those weighing 22 to 26 kg (47–57 pounds) and aged 5 to 8 years, the dose is 3.5 to 4 ml.
• It is preferably taken after food to reduce stomach discomfort.

• Read the label carefully before use.
• Store in a cool, dark and dry place, below 30°C.
• Keep away from direct light and moisture. 
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
• Taking more than a daily dose of Paracetamol may cause serious liver damage or allergic reactions (e.g., swelling of the face, mouth and throat, difficulty in breathing, itching or rash).
• Inform the healthcare provider if the child is already on other medications, especially other products containing paracetamol. 
• If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, consult a doctor immediately.
• Use a clean spoon or dosing syringe each time to avoid contamination.
