Persol AC 5 Gel is used for managing acne vulgaris. With 5% benzoyl peroxide, it eliminates acne-causing bacteria and reduces inflammation, helping to clear and reduce acne breakouts.

• Hydrous Benzoyl Peroxide IP Equivalent to Anhydrous Benzoyl Peroxide 5% w/w: Benzoyl Peroxide is a widely used ingredient in acne management. It works by releasing oxygen into the pores which kills the acne-causing bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes). At a 5% concentration, it is effective yet gentle enough for regular use. Benzoyl Peroxide also helps to peel away dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, unclogging pores and managing the formation of new acne. Additionally, it manages oil production which can further contribute to acne control. The hydrous form of Benzoyl Peroxide in this gel ensures a consistent release of the active ingredient for maximum efficacy.
