P3 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, mainly those who are overweight

• Enhancing the body's sensitivity to its own insulin, facilitating more effective regulation of blood glucose

• Lowering blood sugar to prevent severe diabetes complications such as kidney damage, blindness, and nerve problems

• Decreasing the risk of losing limbs due to diabetes-related complications

• Reducing the potential risk of heart attack or stroke in diabetic patients

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet

• It can be taken with or without food

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor

P3 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

P3 Tablet 10 contains pioglitazone (30 mg) as its active ingredient:

• Activates PPAR gamma: Pioglitazone acts as a PPAR gamma agonist. PPAR gamma refers to peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma, a gene regulator found within cells. By activating this receptor, pioglitazone influences the function of genes associated with glucose production, transport and usage.

• Reduces insulin resistance: Pioglitazone activates the PPAR gamma receptor, decreasing insulin resistance in the liver and peripheral tissues. This means that these tissues are better able to respond to insulin.

• Modulates glucose dynamics: Pioglitazone also reduces glucose production in the liver while increasing insulin-dependent glucose disposal, helping to keep blood sugar levels under control.

• Keep P3 Tablet 10 in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays between 20° to 25°C.
