Oflokem-OZ Plus Suspension is used to treat gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria and parasites in pediatric patients.

Oflokem-OZ Plus Suspension contains two active ingredients:

• Ofloxacin (50 mg): As part of the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics, ofloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes. These enzymes play a key role in bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By disrupting these processes, ofloxacin prevents the growth and multiplication of bacteria.

• Metronidazole (100 mg): This component functions by inhibiting the synthesis of nucleic acids in susceptible organisms, causing them to stop growing and eventually leading to their death. It shows high effectiveness against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.

• Hold the Oflokem-OZ Plus Suspension in a cool and dry place, ideally at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
