OFM 50/100 Suspension is used to manage diarrhoea, dysentery, and stomach infections in children caused by bacteria and parasites. It is also used to relieve loose motions, abdominal pain, and infection-related discomfort by combining ofloxacin and metronidazole to clear gut infections and support recovery.

Administering OFM Suspension to your child should be done in this manner:

Shake the bottle well before use to ensure the medicine is evenly distributed.
Measure out the exact quantity prescribed by your doctor using a spoon or cup.
You can mix OFM Suspension with milk, juice, or water if your child finds it difficult to take alone.
Try to avoid giving antacids to your child 2 hours before or after they take this medicine as it can reduce its effectiveness.

OFM Suspension is given orally to your child.

These enzymes are necessary for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, and repair. By inhibiting these enzymes, ofloxacin effectively hinders bacterial growth.
Metronidazole (100 mg): Metronidazole is a nitroimidazole antibiotic that works by inhibiting DNA synthesis in bacteria and parasites which leads to cell death. It is absorbed by anaerobic bacteria and sensitive protozoa making it effective against many infections.
