Obimet GX2 Tablet interacts with the following medicines:

• Insulin or other oral antidiabetic medicines like glipizide: These may interact with Obimet GX2 Tablet, increasing the risk of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar).

• Cationic medications such as amiloride, digoxin, and morphine: These medicines can reduce metformin elimination, which may increase the risk of lactic acidosis.

• Thiazide diuretics: When taken with Obimet GX2 Tablet, hydrochlorthiazide can lead to loss of glycemic control.

There are no specific food interactions with Obimet GX2 Tablet.

Obimet GX2 Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Severe renal impairment: Obimet GX2 Tablet should not be used in patients with an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) below 30 mL/min/1.73 m2.

• Acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis: This medicine is contraindicated in these conditions due to the potential danger of lactic acidosis.

• Acute conditions that can alter renal function: In such cases, temporary discontinuation of Obimet GX2 Tablet may be necessary.
