O2H Tablet is used to treat infections caused by bacteria and parasites, including urinary tract infections, respiratory infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis, skin and soft tissue infections, and gut infections such as amoebiasis and giardiasis. It is also used for certain sexually transmitted, dental and gynaecological infections.
It contains ofloxacin, an antibiotic, and ornidazole, which acts against parasites and certain bacteria, giving broad coverage against a range of organisms. Take the tablet after a meal to reduce stomach irritation, exactly as prescribed, and complete the full course even if you start feeling better, so the infection is fully cleared.
Drink plenty of water during treatment, eat light, easily digestible meals if you have stomach symptoms, and avoid alcohol for the duration of treatment as it can worsen side effects.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or nervous system problems, or are taking other medicines. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, as some antibiotics can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
