Nebistar T Tablet 10

Nebistar-T Tablet is used in the long-term management of high blood pressure in adults, particularly when a single blood pressure medicine does not give adequate control, and to lower the risk of heart-related complications.

Uses of Nebistar-T Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure: Helps control blood pressure in adults whose hypertension is not adequately managed with a single medicine.
• Heart Attack Prevention: Lowers blood pressure to help prevent heart attacks (myocardial infarction).
• Stroke Prevention: Reduces the risk of stroke by keeping blood pressure under control.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, just skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Don't take double doses to compensate for a missed one.

• Remember not to stop taking this medicine without discussing it with your doctor first.

Nebistar-T Tablet is taken orally.

Nebistar-T Tablet consists of two components:

• Nebivolol (5 mg): This ingredient works by selectively blocking certain receptors called beta-1 adrenergic receptors in your heart. This decreases your heart rate and the force of each heartbeat, reducing the work your heart has to do. It also stimulates the release of a compound called nitric oxide which widens your blood vessels, reducing resistance to blood flow.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This ingredient works by selectively attaching itself to certain proteins called angiotensin II type 1 receptors, preventing a natural compound called angiotensin II from binding to them. This action relaxes and widens your blood vessels, reduces the volume of blood in circulation, and ultimately lowers your blood pressure.

These combined actions provide a dual approach to managing hypertension by decreasing both the work done by the heart and resistance to blood flow in your blood vessels.

• Store Nebistar-T Tablet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

• The ideal temperature for storage is below 30°C.

• Avoid storing it in areas with high humidity or heat.

• Keep this medicine out of reach and sight of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use and don't use it if it's past its expiry date.

• For managing high blood pressure, reduce your salt intake. Consuming too much salt can lead to water retention, which can raise your blood pressure.

• Regular light exercise such as walking and cycling can also help keep your blood pressure in check. Always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
