Nax-B Gel is primarily used to manage acne vulgaris, a common skin condition. It combines clindamycin, an antibiotic, with benzoyl peroxide, and besides managing acne, also targets the bacteria responsible for breakouts.
Clindamycin stops the growth of Propionibacterium acnes, the bacteria causing acne, while benzoyl peroxide reduces acne-causing bacteria and has an anti-inflammatory effect, together reducing inflammation and unclogging pores in moderate acne vulgaris.
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin once or twice daily as your doctor advises, and continue regular use for the full course, since acne treatments generally take several weeks to show visible improvement.
Avoid applying to broken or irritated skin, and avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and nostrils. Use sun protection during the day, as this medicine can increase sensitivity to sunlight.
