Myoril Injection 2Ml is used for the short-term relief of painful muscle spasms associated with acute spinal and musculoskeletal conditions, such as lower back pain, neck stiffness and painful muscle contractions. It contains thiocolchicoside as its active ingredient and belongs to the class of medicines called centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxants.
This injection may also be prescribed as an additional treatment for painful muscle spasms associated with degenerative spinal disorders, torticollis (painful neck muscle contractions) and certain injury-related conditions. It helps reduce muscle stiffness and improve movement. Myoril Injection is administered into a muscle by a trained healthcare professional. Treatment is intended for short-term use and should not exceed five consecutive days.
Gentle stretching, maintaining correct posture and avoiding heavy lifting may help support recovery from muscle spasms. Physiotherapy and gradual return to normal activities, as recommended by your doctor, can help improve flexibility and prevent recurrent muscle stiffness.
Before receiving this injection, inform your doctor if you have epilepsy, a history of seizures, liver problems or allergies to medicines. Tell your doctor about other medicines, supplements or herbal products you use. Myoril Injection must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or by women who could become pregnant and are not using effective contraception. Report any unusual drowsiness, severe diarrhoea, fainting, seizures or allergic reactions immediately. Do not extend treatment beyond the prescribed duration.
