Moxifax Eye Drops are used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, such as bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye), easing the redness, discharge and irritation.
They contain moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It works by stopping the bacteria multiplying, which clears the infection.
Put the drops into the affected eye as directed, washing your hands first and avoiding touching the dropper tip to the eye. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early.
Do not wear contact lenses while you have an eye infection. Tell your doctor about any allergy to fluoroquinolone antibiotics before use. Seek advice if vision changes or pain worsens, as it does not work against viral or fungal infections.
