MET-PCO Care Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS): This is a hormonal condition in women characterised by irregular periods, excessive hair growth and enlarged ovaries.

• Regulating menstrual cycles: This means making your periods regular, predictable, and normal in duration and flow.

• Restoring ovulation: This involves bringing back the release of eggs from your ovaries, which is crucial for fertility.

• Reducing insulin resistance: This helps your body use insulin better so that glucose in your blood can be absorbed by cells more efficiently.

• Lowering androgen levels: Androgens are male hormones that women also have; reducing these helps manage symptoms like excess hair growth.

• Promoting weight loss: This means assisting in shedding excess weight, which can improve many symptoms of PCOS.

Here's how you should take MET-PCO Care Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid breaking or chewing it.

• Take the tablet during or just after meals to minimise stomach upsets.

• It's essential to take this medicine at the same time each day to help you remember it.

• Never take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

MET-PCO Care Tablet is a combination medication that works due to the coordinated activity of its different components:

• Myo-inositol (550 mg): This component improves insulin sensitivity, reduces androgen levels, and promotes ovulation by mediating insulin signalling and regulating glucose metabolism.

• D-chiro-inositol (13.8 mg): Derived from myo-inositol via an insulin-dependent process, D-chiro-inositol also improves insulin sensitivity and reduces androgen levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): An antidiabetic medicine that enhances insulin sensitivity, reduces the production of glucose in the liver and improves glucose uptake by peripheral tissues.

• L-methylfolate (0.5 mg): The active form of folic acid plays a crucial role in DNA synthesis, red blood cell formation, and homocysteine metabolism. It may help reduce insulin resistance in PCOS sufferers.

• Methylcobalamin (750 mcg): This active form of vitamin B12 is involved in the metabolism of homocysteine and normal nerve function. It's important for managing insulin resistance associated with PCOS.

• Store MET-PCO Care Tablet in a firmly closed container.
