Menotas 150 IU Injection is a hormonal medicine used to help manage infertility in women and men. In women, it helps the ovaries develop and release eggs in those who do not ovulate regularly, including as part of IVF and IUI. In men, it helps improve sperm production in selected cases of hormonal deficiency.
It contains menotrophin (human menopausal gonadotrophin), given as an injection by a healthcare professional, with the dose adjusted to your individual response. It is used under your doctor supervision in a fertility clinic, with regular monitoring of hormone levels and ovarian response.
Eating a balanced diet, maintaining a healthy weight, doing moderate exercise as advised by your doctor, and avoiding alcohol and smoking can all support treatment. Keep to the schedule of clinic visits and tests recommended by your doctor.
Before receiving this medicine, tell your doctor about any history of ovarian cysts, thyroid disorders, hormonal cancers, or other medicines you take. Report severe stomach pain, rapid weight gain, breathing difficulty or reduced urine output straight away, as these can signal ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
