Menotec 150 IU Injection 1 is used for the following:

Follow these instructions while using Menotec 150 IU Injection 1:

• This injection must be administered by a qualified doctor at a fertility clinic or hospital.

• The injection is given either under the skin or into a muscle.

• Injection sites should be rotated to minimise discomfort.

• Keep all follow-up appointments for blood tests and ultrasound scans during treatment.

Menotec 150 IU Injection 1 is administered via an Intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) route.

Menotec 150 IU Injection 1 contains Human Menopausal Gonadotrophin (150 IU), which is equivalent to the activity of 150 IU LH and 150 IU FSH and works in the following manner:

• Luteinizing Hormone (LH) (150 IU) activity: In women, it triggers the release of mature eggs from the follicles during ovulation and helps prepare the uterine lining for pregnancy. In men, it stimulates special cells called Leydig cells to produce testosterone, which is essential for sperm production.

• Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) (150 IU) activity: In women, it stimulates the growth and development of immature egg follicles in the ovaries, preparing them for ovulation. In men, it acts on cells in the testes called Sertoli cells to support sperm production and maturation.

• Dual hormone action: The combined effect of both hormones helps regulate reproductive functions and addresses the hormonal imbalances that can cause infertility in both men and women.

• Store Menotec 150 IU Injection 1 in a refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C.
