Mefcon Spas Tablet is used to manage menstrual pain and abdominal cramps, including cramping associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It helps relax the muscles of the stomach and intestines while relieving pain and spasms.
It is a combination medicine from the anticholinergic and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) classes. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with food, to reduce the chance of stomach upset. Continue taking it for the duration advised, even if your symptoms start to ease.
Applying a warm compress to the abdomen and staying well hydrated can help ease cramping alongside this medicine. Eating smaller, more frequent meals may also help reduce digestive discomfort in IBS.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any stomach ulcers, kidney or liver problems, glaucoma, or are taking other medicines. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice. Report persistent dizziness or blurred vision to your doctor.
