Levodoc OZ Tablet is used to manage acute bacterial diarrhoea, amoebic dysentery, intestinal amoebiasis, and other gastrointestinal infections caused by organisms sensitive to levofloxacin and ornidazole.

Uses of Levodoc OZ Tablet are:

• Acute Bacterial Diarrhoea: Treats diarrhoea caused by susceptible bacteria.
• Amoebic Dysentery and Intestinal Amoebiasis: Clears these parasitic gut infections.
• Other Gastrointestinal Infections: Treats infections caused by organisms sensitive to the medicine's active ingredients.

To get the best results from your Levodoc Oz Tablet 10, please do the following:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't crush or chew the tablet.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on how often to take this medicine.

• Even if you feel better, don't stop taking this medicine until you've completed the entire course your doctor prescribed.

Levodoc Oz Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Levodoc Oz Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients that work together:

• Levofloxacin (250 mg): This fluoroquinolone antibiotic inhibits enzymes in bacteria called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are critical for bacterial DNA replication and repair; blocking them disrupts these processes, leading to bacterial cell death. Levofloxacin is particularly effective against gram-negative bacteria and atypical respiratory pathogens.

• Ornidazole (500 mg): This nitroimidazole antibacterial and antiprotozoal agent damages bacterial and parasitic DNA after being converted into reactive reduction products, thus blocking nucleic acid synthesis. Ornidazole shows high effectiveness against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa like Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia.

• Store Levodoc Oz Tablet 10 at room temperature.
