Levera 250 Tablet is used to control seizures in epilepsy, including partial-onset, myoclonic and generalised tonic-clonic seizures. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing levetiracetam, and belongs to a class of medicines called anti-epileptics.
This medicine helps steady abnormal electrical activity in the brain by calming the sudden bursts of brain signals that trigger seizures. Take it at the same times each day. Any dose changes must be gradual and guided by your doctor. Use the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Getting regular sleep and avoiding alcohol can support seizure control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney problems or mood or behaviour concerns before starting this medicine, and about any other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report significant mood or behaviour changes, such as low mood, aggression or anxiety, promptly, and report any side effects that persist or become serious. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly or unless your doctor advises you to do so, as this can trigger seizures.
