Kefcef O Tablet is used to treat susceptible bacterial infections.

Uses of Kefcef O Tablet are:

• Respiratory Tract Infections: Treats susceptible bacterial infections of the throat, lungs and airways.
• Urinary Tract Infections: Helps clear susceptible bacterial infections of the urinary tract.

Kefcef O Tablet 10 consists of two active ingredients:

• Cefixime (200 mg): It works by interrupting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. It attaches to specific proteins within the bacterial cell wall, preventing the linkage of peptidoglycan chains, which are crucial for the strength and rigidity of the bacterial cell wall. This weakens the cell wall, causing it to break.
• Ofloxacin (200 mg): A part of the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics, it works by impeding enzymes necessary for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By inhibiting these enzymes, known as DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, it disrupts DNA synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.

This combination provides a wide range of effectiveness against numerous gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
