Keto-B Cream is used to treat inflammatory skin conditions complicated by a secondary fungal infection, such as infected eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis and severe tinea infections where fungal overgrowth is accompanied by significant skin irritation.
It combines ketoconazole, an antifungal, and beclometasone, a corticosteroid that reduces swelling, redness and itching. Apply a thin layer to the affected area as prescribed, for the duration advised by your doctor.
Washing and thoroughly drying the affected area before application, avoiding scratching the skin, and wearing loose cotton clothing over the treated area can help support your skin's recovery.
Before using this cream, tell your doctor if you have a viral skin infection, skin tuberculosis or circulation problems. Do not apply it to open wounds or use it under an airtight bandage unless directed. This cream is for external use only and prolonged use should be avoided without medical advice. Do not use a steroid-containing combination for uncomplicated ringworm or another fungal infection unless specifically directed, because the steroid can mask or worsen infection.
