Keto-B Cream is a combination topical medicine used to treat inflammatory skin conditions complicated by secondary fungal infections. It is commonly prescribed to manage conditions like infected eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis, and severe tinea infections where fungal overgrowth is accompanied by severe skin irritation.
This cream combines two active ingredients: ketoconazole and beclometasone dipropionate. Ketoconazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal that eliminates fungal growth, while beclometasone dipropionate is a corticosteroid that reduces tissue swelling, localised skin redness, and intense itching. Apply a thin layer carefully.
To assist your skin's recovery, wash and fully dry the infected area before application, and avoid scratching or picking at active lesions. Wear loose cotton clothing over the treated zone to prevent sweat build-up, and practice strict personal hygiene to avoid spreading the microbes to other body surfaces.
Before using this cream, inform your doctor if you have viral skin infections, skin tuberculosis, or severe circulation issues. Do not apply it on open wounds, deep skin gashes, or extensive body areas, and avoid airtight occlusive bandages unless directed. This cream is for external use only.
