HYDROQUIZ 200 TABLET 15 is used to prevent and treat uncomplicated malaria, and to manage certain long-term autoimmune conditions. It has anti-inflammatory and immune-calming effects that help control disease activity.
It contains hydroxychloroquine, which belongs to a group of medicines called disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). It is used in rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), as well as for malaria. Take it with food or milk as prescribed; in long-term conditions it may take some weeks to show its full effect.
Because long-term use can rarely affect the eyes, regular eye checks are recommended. Protecting your skin from strong sun and attending review appointments support safer treatment.
Tell your doctor about any eye or retinal problems, liver or kidney disease, or a heart rhythm disorder before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report any change in vision, such as blurring or difficulty seeing colours, promptly.
