Hepamerz Infusion is used to manage liver-related conditions such as early and severe hepatic encephalopathy, a disorder caused by liver dysfunction that leads to confusion and neurological problems. It helps detoxify excess ammonia in the body, improves liver function, and reduces complications associated with liver cirrhosis, supporting better overall liver health.

Hepamerz Infusion is given intravenously.

Hepamerz Infusion contains the following ingredients:

• L-ornithine L-aspartate (5 gm): It is an amino acid that stimulates ammonia detoxification by increasing the synthesis of urea in the liver. Furthermore, it serves ammonia detoxification in the tissues outside the liver.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.

• Reduce protein intake, especially animal proteins, as they can lead to increased ammonia levels.
• Eat smaller, more frequent meals to ease digestion and prevent liver overload.
• Ensure sufficient intake of vitamins (especially B-complex vitamins) and minerals like zinc and magnesium.
• Completely abstain from alcohol to prevent further liver damage.
