Gudcef Plus Tablet is a medicine used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections in adults. It is commonly prescribed for infections of the respiratory tract (such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis), urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, as well as ear and throat infections.
It contains a combination of cefpodoxime proxetil and ofloxacin, which are antibacterial medicines. Take the tablet as prescribed with food to aid absorption and reduce stomach discomfort. It is important to complete the full course of treatment exactly as prescribed, even if you feel better early, to ensure the infection is completely cleared and to prevent resistance.
Supporting your body with proper hydration and adequate rest helps speed recovery from an infection. Drink plenty of water throughout the day unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver conditions, a history of antibiotic allergies, or tendon problems. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience severe watery diarrhoea, severe skin reactions, or joint pain.
