Goodova L 5 Tablet 5 is used for breast cancer and ovulation induction.

Uses of Goodova L 5 Tablet 5 are:

• Breast Cancer: Treats hormone-sensitive breast cancer after menopause.
• Preventing Recurrence: Used after surgery or radiotherapy to help prevent return.
• Ovulation Induction: Helps trigger ovulation in fertility treatment.

Follow these instructions while taking Goodova L 5 Tablet 5:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, breaking, or chewing the tablet.

• Take your medicine at approximately the same time each day.

• You may take this tablet with or without food, but maintain consistency.

• Continue taking the medicine even when you feel well, unless advised otherwise.

Goodova L 5 Tablet 5 is taken orally.

Goodova L 5 Tablet 5 contains letrozole (5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits aromatase enzyme: Letrozole blocks the action of an enzyme called aromatase, which is responsible for converting androgens (male hormones) into oestrogen (female hormone) in peripheral tissues of the body.

• Reduces oestrogen levels: By inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, letrozole significantly reduces the amount of oestrogen produced throughout the body, creating an unfavourable environment for hormone-sensitive cancer cells.

• Suppresses hormone-dependent cancer cell growth: The reduced oestrogen levels help slow or halt the growth of breast cancer cells that depend on oestrogen for their development and multiplication.

• Tumour regression: The hormonal deprivation caused by letrozole can lead to decreased tumour growth rates and potential shrinkage of existing tumours that are oestrogen-dependent.

• Store Goodova L 5 Tablet 5 in its original container with the lid tightly closed.

• Keep at temperatures below 30°C.

• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Regular weight-bearing exercise (like walking or gentle resistance training) helps maintain bone density, which is important as letrozole can increase the risk of osteoporosis (bone thinning).

• Consider including calcium-rich foods in your diet, such as dairy products, leafy green vegetables, and fortified foods, to support bone health during treatment.
